Eileen E. Stinson

Eileen E. Stinson, 76, of Emmaus, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Blvd. She was the wife of Richard C. Stinson. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in November 2023. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late James and Hilda (Stein) Koch. Eileen was a graduate of Parkland High School and received her bachelor's degree and master's degree from Kutztown University. She was a second-grade teacher at Hereford Elementary School for over 35 years before retiring in 2007. Eileen was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church, Allentown, where she was a former choir member and Sunday School teacher. She also taught English as a Second Language in Allentown. Eileen enjoyed traveling including trips to Australia, Europe and South America. She also enjoyed walking and The Arts, including Broadway Shows. Eileen loved babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors: Husband, Richard; Sons: Eric P. and his wife Karen of Bethlehem, Matthew J. and his wife Candice of Audubon, Mark D. and his wife Kristina of Center Valley; Grandchildren: Victoria, Laela, Evan, Parker, Andrew, David; Sister: Marianne Evans of Allentown. Eileen was predeceased by her sister Margaret Kistler.
Services: There will be a viewing on Thursday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown 18106 and Friday from 10:30 – 11:00 am in Nativity Lutheran Church, 4004 W. Tilghman St., Allentown 18104. A funeral service will follow at 11 am Friday in the church. .
