Elaine Anderson, 91 of Ashby Minnesota died Saturday, April 8, 2023, at her home.
Elaine Ann Anderson was born on May 16, 1931, at home in Erdahl Township, the daughter of Paul and Dora (Nelson) Olson. She attended the Ashby Public School and graduated in 1949.
Elaine and Robert Anderson were married October 12, 1950, in her parent’s home in Ashby, MN. After their marriage they lived in Ashby. Elaine worked various jobs but her most important job was raising her five children. She was an active lifetime member of The First Presbyterian Church. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. You could stop at Grandma Elaine’s anytime and enjoy coffee and her famous brownies and banana bread. She always found time to spoil her grandchildren and give hugs to everyone!
Elaine is survived by her husband, Andy; four daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Blondeau, Gwyn (Jim) Risbrudt, Beatrice (Junior) Matson and Ramona Slack; Sixteen grandchildren; fifty plus great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; sister-in law, Dorothy Olson; and by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her son and his wife, Dennis and Marcia Anderson; son-in-law, Thomas Slack; grandson, Darin Slack; two brothers, Virgil (Lorraine) and Merl Olson; and sister Verla (Bob) Forbes.
Visitation: Friday April 21, 2023, from 5 to 7pm.
Memorial service: Saturday April 22, 2023, at 2pm at the Ashby Presbyterian Church
