Elaine Bean, 93, of Winterset, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Cambridge Place.
She was born August 25, 1932, in Bannock, daughter of the late Mahlon Lodge and Florence (Estep) Lodge.
Mrs. Bean was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Antrim Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Modern Woodmen of American. Elaine enjoyed sewing and working in the yard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Bean, who died September 12, 2012. They were married September 3, 1949. Also deceased are six sisters, Jeanette Casterline, Juanita Laughman, Emilie Beal, Phyllis Cramblett and two infant sisters; and her brothers, Willard Lodge, Dale Lodge, and Charles Lodge.
She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Montgomery of Antrim, and Carolyn Thatcher of Franklin PA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 11AM to 1PM at Antrim Presbyterian Church with the service to immediately follow with Pastor Merlin Wentworth officiating. Burial will be held at Antrim United Presbyterian Cemetery following the service.
