Elaine Graham Bedenbaugh, 58, of Pomaria, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center.
Born on December 17, 1966, in Newberry, she was the daughter of Dianne Livingston Graham and the late Earl A. Graham, Jr. She was the administrative assistant for Scott Timber and W. H. Ringer Logging. She had been a former substitute teacher for the Newberry County Schools. Elaine was a lifetime member of New Hope United Methodist Church where she was the newsletter editor, coordinator of the church golf tournament and was the recipient of the Faithful Servant award. She was a former Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director and produced the Christmas program.
Elaine was a former PTO treasurer for the Pomaria Garmany Elementary School and was a former member of the Mid Carolina High School Booster Club. She was a former member of the Newberry Jaycees and was a recipient of the State Jaycee of the Year award.
Her proudest accomplishment was being GiGi to her three grandchildren and driving the GiGi Bus.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 36 years, Lee Bedenbaugh; mother, Dianne Graham; children, Elise (Aaron) Holley and Justin (Crista) Bedenbaugh; brother, Roger Graham; grandchildren, Brewer Holley, Braxton Holley and Everlee Bedenbaugh; mother-in-law, Doliene Bedenbaugh; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Alva) Gaskin and Vicki (Tony) Madelena; special aunt and uncle, Alice and Robert Davis and cousins, Michael (Haley) Davis and Melissa (Kurt) Long as well as numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 27, 2025, at New Hope United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jesse Rogers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church Building Expansion Fund, c/o Robert Davis, 256 Graham Cemetery Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Davis, Kurt Long, Marty Livingston, David Graham, Alex Metts and Dennis Frick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kay and Chris Traylor, Scott and Amber Lominick, Ann and Hub Lominick, Woody and Kelly Ringer.
