Elaine Marie Benevides

Elaine Marie Benevides passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2025, at the age of 60. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Mima), sister, cousin, aunt, and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Born on December 11, 1964, in Los Banos, CA, Elaine Marie Pacheco was the second of four children to John and Margaret Pacheco. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years Ernie Benevides. She married the love of her life on June 5th 1982.
"She was a one of a kind, once in a lifetime kind of woman." She left behind her children-son Ernie Benevides Jr. (and daughter-in-law Jessica), daughter Erica Benevides, and daughter Nichole Benevides (and daughter-in-law Kiara)-and her cherished grandchild, Cambria Benevides. She is also survived by two brothers, John and Donald Pacheco, her sister Cathie Johnson, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Elaine was known for her fiery spirit and infectious smile. Elaine was an original for sure. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. She loved traveling with them to places like Las Vegas, Laughlin, Disneyland, Pismo Beach, Hawaii, Oregon, Sierra Nevada and Reno. She was the heart of every family trip and gathering, often organizing and leading the way. One of her favorite traditions was the annual Antique Tractor Show family reunion, an event she was proud to organize with the help of her family from all over. A talented cook, Elaine enjoyed feeding her family and loved trying new foods. She was especially fond of the holiday meals and baking. Elaine's vibrant personality and love for her family will be remembered forever. Elaine is now somewhere over the rainbow, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 4-7 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home
Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 6:00 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 South O Street, Tulare, with burial at North Tulare Cemetery
