Elaine Mary (Doro) Kroll was born on March 2, 1933 in Poy Sippi, WI, the daughter of August and Martha (Zelinski) Doro. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. Elaine met the love of her life, Vernon Keith Kroll at the Orihula Ballroom. This first meeting was at a dance, and they began a lifetime together loving music and dance. They were married on October 20, 1951 in Poy Sippi at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and then resided in New London their entire lives, working hard and raising six children. Elaine departed this life and passed into eternity on Thursday, December 28, 2023 after a four year residency at Trinity Terrace in New London. People may remember Elaine from "her life of service"..and true blue collar "life of service". She was a long time waitress at The Rainbow Supper Club. Elaine was a customer service clerk at Markman's Department Store and food service at Hillshire Farm. As family members, we were all blessed by her hosting skills. She had a wonderful attention to detail – decorating for holidays and making an abundance of hors-d-oeuvres and food. Regardless of the occasion, if one of us had a favorite dish of hers, she would always make a point of making it for them. For Elaine, this was a labor of love.
Elaine leaves behind to cherish her memory, six children; Cynthia (Michael) Devine, Sandra (Todd) Huber, Candis (Leanne) Kroll, Randy (Lea) Kroll, Andy (Beki) Kroll and Mandy (Paul) Miller; eight grandchildren, Heather Kleinbrook, Shana (Craig) Neesvig, Jared (Sarah) Kleinbrook, Sam (Jen) Huber, Joseph Huber, Toni (Josh) May, Casey (Kyle) Kelly and Sarah Miller; great-grandchildren, Josey, Hattie and Marley Neesvig, Evan and Alexander Kleinbrook, Zander May and Kota Kelly. She is further survived by her brother, Gerald (Jane) Doro, as well as many nieces and nephews,
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence and Maurice; sister, Jean and son-in-law, Joel Kleinbrook.
The Funeral Mass for Elaine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Klienschmidt officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
I would like to thank the caretakers at Trinity Terrace – her home and family! You are all the "very best" at what you do. Your love for my mother was amazing. She loved you, and so did I. ~ Sandy~
Thank you to DJ and Creation for the care you gave my mother the last few weeks.
