Elaine Marie Wycoff

Elaine Marie Olson–Wycoff died December 19, 2024, in Sac City, Iowa. She was born on April 22, 1945, to Oscar M. and Celia J. (Anderson)Olson, Blair Wi. After graduating from Blair High School she moved to Minneapolis Minn. where she worked for many years before meeting Robert L Wycoff. They were married on May 2, 1980. Several years later they moved to Sac City Iowa, Bob`s hometown. She and Bob enjoyed traveling and attending arts and crafts shows for many years before he died on December 2, 1998.
A childcare business in her home kept her busy for many years. Elaine commented that her "kids" were inviting her to their graduations and weddings as they grew up.
Faith Bible Church, where she was a charter member, was an important part of her life. She served as secretary/clerk and chaired the Benevolent and Hospitality Committee and others. She enjoyed singing and sang with the church band and for Church services at the Care Center. She also volunteered at Iowa Public TV and the Iowa State Fair.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert. She is survived by her brother Orris (Julie) Olson of Maricopa, Arizona; sister-in-laws LaVerne Staley, Sac City, Iowa, Audrey Wycoff, Burnsville, Minnesota; stepchildren Sheila Ford, and Robert Wycoff Jr., nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service and fellowship will be held on February 1, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Faith Bible Church, 601 Main St. Sac City Iowa. Interment will be at a later date in Cottonwood Cemetery, Lake City, Iowa.
