I met Al in jr high and we became friends, it all started with mini bikes, cars, fishing and hunting. Al was a true hunter in every sense of the word. We would hunt in Monticello more times than I could remember but this one we laughed for years. We were young and short of money so Al, George and myself got George to take his station wagon. We parked in the woods but had to remove the spare tire to sleep Al in the front seat and us in the back. We woke up almost frozen with snow on the ground, who knew it would be that cold. Off into the woods we went until we came to a large stream with a log across it. George 1st me 2nd and Al fell in but climbed out on our side. We looked Al who looked like he was on fire with all the steam coming off him. We crossed the log and Al fell in again. We drove into town and found a laundromat, we took all of cloths and put them in the dryer while he warmed up in the car. We got a motel room that night and later had to explain to George´s wife why she didn´t have a spare tire (we left it in the woods). Al you are one of my best and longest friend l am lucky to have met you and have memories that will last forever. Love Ya Karl
