Elbert Jones Obituary
He was a graduate of Camp Creek High School, and went to Steed College for 3 years. He was enlisted in the Army for three years, where he got to travel to Germany. After the Army Elbert became a truck driver for 38 years.
He is Survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Jones, his son Tracy Haney, daughter Dana (David) Alcoser, grandchildren Tyler (Ashley) Trombley, Colbie Griffith, Jayla Jones, Travis Haney, Terran Haney, Samantha Haney, Mercedes Metcalf, great grandchildren Shayla, Zaydon, Ezekiel Johnson, and a very special niece Leslie Daniel, brothers Bobby (Brenda) Jones, Tom Jones, sister Linda Patterson, sister-in-laws Jane Jones, Dema Davis, brother-in-law Jerry Harrison, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Troy and Edith Jones and his best friend Garry Weems.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 2nd at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown from 2-5, with funeral service at 5. Internment will be at Mount Pisgah Cemetery Saturday at 11am, those who wish to go in procession the family has asked to meet at Jeffers Funeral Downtown at 10am. Pallbearers will be family with Pastor Junior Shipley will be officiating.
