Elda M. Hagenow, 105, of Kiel died Thursday evening September 18, 2025 at Field of Dreams assisted Living where she had been a resident for the past two years. She is the former Elda Spettel born on November 3, 1919 in the Town of Schleswig daughter of the late John and Pauline (Bosma) Spettel. Elda attended Woodland Grade School in the Town of Schleswig.

On November 5, 1941 she was united in marriage to Clyde Hagenow at St. Peters UCC, Kiel. Elda and Clyde farmed in the Town of Schleswig for more than 55 years. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2002. She was a member at St. Peter UCC where she belonged to the Women's Guild. She was also a longtime meber of the Eaton Ladies Aid. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, playing cards and reading.

Survivors include her daughter; Sherrie Hagenow (Darrel Kienburger), daughter-in-law; Carol Hagenow, grandchildren; Joviann (Steve) Mech, Tracy (Tony) Miller, Tina (Keith) Reese, Todd Woelfel (Kelly Grohschmitz), great grandchildren; Mark Bastian, Elizabeth (Jesse) Jensema, Keith Reese Jr. (Jennie Fisher), Ben Woelfel and Logan Woelfel. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Clyde, son; Dale, a brother; Elmer and 2 infant sisters; Olga and Alice.

Funeral Services for Elda will take place on Wednesday September 24, 2025 at 2:00pm at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th St. Kiel) Burial will follow in the Eaton Union Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.

Elda's family would like to thank all her friends and family for all the visits and helping her in so many ways. They would like to thank the staff at Field or Dreams for their care and friendship these past two years and Compassus Hospice for keeping her comfortable in her last days.
