Eldin Roy Hage

Eldin Roy Hage, 85, of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1st, 2025. Eldin was born on June 29, 1940. He was a nearly lifelong Duluth resident, receiving his GED in 1957, then served in the Duluth Army National Guard for two terms. He had a long successful career beginning with Chun King and then as a supervising leader with Jeno's Enterprises. He was married to Carol (Lilliberg) in 1960, and they had three children. He moved his family to Ohio for five years but returned them to Duluth in 1978.

Eldin was an avid sportsman, and his lifelong passion was fishing local lakes and taking trips to Canada with family and friends. He fished the ALS Walleye Tournament on Island Lake, placing 1st and 2nd Place (twice each), and in the top 10 many times with his partner/son Gary. Through the years, he scored multiple trophies including a once in a lifetime moose. He took great pride in spending many years in the outdoors, cutting and splitting wood to stack and burn during the long winters. He loved to golf and was a Charter Member at Pine Hill. Eldin loved to watch all sports in person and on TV and kept amazing stats, scores and standings in each major sport. He spent weekends watching golf tournaments and football games. Later in life, he enjoyed reading books and doing countless jigsaw puzzles with his family. He said often how lucky he was to have enjoyed a long and happy retirement.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Carol, his mother Susan (Anscomb) and step father Harvey Hage, and his three step sisters, Lucille, Judy, and Joyce, and his best friend and nephew Harv.

He is survived by sons Michael (Craig), Gary (Cheryl), and daughter Lori (Scott), grandchildren Casey (Andy), Cory (MaryAnn), Crystal (Adam), Brooke (Tyler) and Shane, four great grandchildren, and his sister Susan (Robert) Hansen, along with many beloved nieces and nephews, and greats in those as well. Family was very important to Eldin, and he enjoyed being known as "Uncle Al the kiddies Pal" by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be provided by Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue on Monday, December 15th. Visitation 12:00, Service at 1:00.
