May 19, 1945-September 3, 2022
LYNN CENTER-Eldon Bradley, 77, of Lynn Center, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, Orion, 1301 4th St, Orion, IL 61273. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery where military honors will be performed. Memorials may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Zion, IL.
Eldon was born on May 19, 1945, in Cutbank, MT, the son of Leroy and Mable (Adams) Bradley. As a young man, Eldon worked on the oil rigs in Montana for the Texas Oil Company. Eldon served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Riner on November 16, 1977, in Denver, CO. Eldon was a fabricator for Coors and later for Alcoa. Eldon and Linda also owned and operated Nan and Paps Apple Butter.
Eldon was a member of the Ophiem VA where he held the title of Adjunct. He was also in charge of the VA's monthly meetings and helped place flags on graves for Memorial Day. Eldon was a valued member of the Ophiem American Legion Post 1077. He enjoyed gardening and farming. Eldon was an expert carpet installer and enjoyed being able to help his family with his skills.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Shane "Bud" (Krista) Bradley, Gwenn Bradley, W. Tim (Susan) Sullivan, D. Mark (Jennifer) Sullivan, Angie (Kelly) Saylors-Bundy; 15 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
He was preceded in death by parents, son Tyge Saylors, and 2 sisters.

My deepest condolences to Eldon´s family. I came to know Eldon at Alcoa, and immediately knew him as a kind person with a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss him. He´s with God, and I know God is with his family.
