Eldon "Butch" Joseph Gautreau, 82 years old, beloved Father and Grandfather, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 26, 2024. He entered this world on February 17, 1942, born to Mamie and Noah Gautreau, in Gonzales, LA. Butch honorably served his country in the National Guard from 1960 to 1964. In 2010 he retired from SIM and went home to spend quality time cooking for family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Juanita Gautreau; son, Blaine Gautreau (Angela); daughter, Lisa Gautreau (Todd); stepsons, Alton, Danny and Shane Teekel; grandchildren, Cody, Jenna, Lindsey, Blake, Bryce, Allisa; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Elwood and Eugene Gautreau; sister, Rebecca Fredric; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Butch is preceded in death by his; father, Noah Joseph Gautreau; mother, Mamie Lanoux Gautreau; son, Bruce Gautreau; brother, Ancil Gautreau; sisters, Romona Madere and Mary Alice Gautreau Braud.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake and Bryce Vicknair, Chris and Jim Gautreau, Cliff and Chris Himel, Curt Bourgeois, and Sam Lanoux.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lindsey Kiernan, Carson Vicknair, Craig Himel, Cody Martin, Jake Boriel, and Woody Gautreau.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Thursday, January 02, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Eddie Wren. The graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
