Funeral services for Eldon Leon Fuller will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Temple Baptist Church of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah, Oklahoma.
Eldon Leon Fuller was born July 4, 1943 in Mason, Oklahoma to Isaac "Ike" Fuller and Etter Elmina (Green) Fuller. He passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 81.
Leon grew up in Okemah, Oklahoma, was the youngest of 11 and was a 1961 graduate of Okemah High School. He worked many years as a heavy equipment operator and as an airline mechanic and photography instructor. Leon was an avid hunter and went on many trips north deer hunting. He also proudly served his country with the United States Army. Leon taught Sunday school for many years with the Temple Baptist Church of Shawnee and even received his certification to perform the wedding ceremony for his grandson Alex and Haley's wedding. On July 4, 1996, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he and Carol Ann Fuller were married. Leon loved his family dearly and always said "God and family come first".
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Carol of the home; three sons, Lonnie Fuller and wife Cynde of Oologah, Oklahoma, Randy Lauderdale and wife Paula of Shawnee and Jeff Lauderdale of Seminole; two daughters, Connie Wood and husband Michael of Okemah and Kelly Hilbern and husband Tim of Guthrie; one brother, Wendell Fuller of Cromwell, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family that will miss him dearly.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Tim Hilbern, David Fuller, Gene Fuller, Rocky Spears, Alex Hall and Jonathan Radebaugh.
Honorary bearers include Mickey Hall, Doug Glenn, Noah Crowder, Michael Wood and Mark Stevenson.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Rev. Mike Craig and assisted by Bro. Randy Moore, Pastor Duane Costello, Bro. Glenn Peck and Alex Hall.
