Ms. Elean Battle entered eternal rest on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Atrium Health in Macon, Georgia. She was born on October 20, 1939, in Monroe County, Georgia, to the late Ella May King Battle and Reverend Dock Battle, Sr. Elean was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dock Battle, Jr. and Henry Battle, along with her beloved niece, Deedra Grier-Jackson.

Educated within the Monroe County School System, Elean proudly graduated from Hubbard High School in 1961. She became a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at a young age, where she served faithfully as a doorkeeper. Her kind smile and friendly demeanor were a source of comfort to all who entered. Elean was also a dedicated member of the Usher Ministry and the Mount Pleasant Missionary Association, remaining actively involved until her health began to decline.

She was employed at William Carter Company and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver for the elderly, demonstrating unwavering compassion and care for those she served.

Her memory is cherished by a devoted niece, Sandra Jones of Bolingbroke, Georgia; Masie Walker of Bolingbroke, Georgia; and a nephew, Willie Battle of Fargo, North Dakota. Although Elean did not have biological children of her own, she shared a mother's love with those she helped raise. She lovingly guided and cared for them as her own, affectionately calling them "my girls," Mattie (John "Jick") Hayes and Clara (Cornal) Gibson, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and "my boys," Samuel (Juanita) Perkins of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Johnny B. (Barbara) Perkins, Sr. of Cleveland, Ohio; and her loving sister-in-law, Julia Battle of Bolingbroke, Georgia.

She also relied on her caring family members, Ella Daniels, Kitty Washington, and James Zellner, whenever she needed support. She was blessed with special neighbors and dear friends, Dan and Cathy Pittman, who exemplified compassion and Christian love, continually offering kindness and assistance that brightened her life.

In addition, she leaves behind a host of other loving relatives, church members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Elean's life was a testament to faith, humility, and love. She served with a heart of compassion, lived with grace, and left behind a legacy of kindness that will never fade.
