Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home, 26 Brentwood Place, Forsyth, Georgia. Burial in Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1387 Hwy. 41 South, Forsyth, Georgia. Service is scheduled to be Streamed Live on our Facebook Page.

Public viewing will be Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 3-6 PM. Keep the family in prayer.

Mary Jane Hughley Little was born on November 18, 1948, to the parentage of John L. Hughley and Gerdine Proctor in Forsyth Georgia. She was the oldest of three girls. Mary was joined in holy matrimony to John Little of Atlanta, Georgia on February 10, 1971, who preceded her death. She was also proceeded in death by both of her parents and her sister, Mary Frances Phillips.

Attending the Monroe County school System in Forsyth, she graduated from Hubbard high school with a class of 1967. Upon completion of high school, Mary relocated to Atlanta where she joined the workforce with Turner Broadcasting Network. Mary worked for over 40 years with the network and retired to enjoy her life. She joined fishing, watching the Atlanta Braves, wrestling, music, and most of all spending time with her family. Mary was a member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church Mass Choir and then later began fellowshipping at Lindsey Street Baptist Church both in Atlanta GA.

Remembering the times shared with her family, she loved and cared dearly for her baby sister, Geraldine. She called daily to check on her and her daughters and other relatives to either say hello and be careful on their way to work or simply give an update on the weather in case you missed the news. She would always lend a helping hand to anyone she could and always have kind and encouraging words to share.

Years to come, the memories of her life with forever be cherished by her loving baby sister Geraldine (James) Calloway, three nieces, Linda Robinson, Felicia, (Trans) Macklin, and Sumekia Calloway; four aunts, Susie Daniels and Ruby Proctor of Atlanta, Ga., Christine Proctor of Forsyth, GA, and Viola Hoston of Meridian, CA.; her best friend Cathy Martin and her children as their god-mother; and a host or relatives and friends.
