Eleanor M Beaton

EASTON—-Eleanor M. (Callahan) Beaton, 94, of Easton, formerly of Brockton, Bridgewater and Blue Diamond, NV, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Braemoor Health Center after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Colin F. Beaton. Born in Brockton on March 31, 1921, a daughter of the late Edward F. and Mildred C. (Jarvis) Callahan, she was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School. A homemaker devoted to her family, she was a member of the Commercial Club of Brockton. Eleanor's hobbies included crossword puzzles, reading and rug hooking. Eleanor is survived by her children, Karen Porter and her companion Ken Paslay of Easton, Kevin Beaton of Las Vegas, NV., Donald Beaton of Martha's Vineyard, Jean Leavitt and her husband Richard of Blue Diamond, NV., and Sarah Watkins and her husband Sammy of Augusta, KS; a brother, Edward F. Callahan of Hingham; three grandchildren, Jessica Almeida and her husband John of Taunton, Jennifer Beaton of Pacific Palisade, CA., and Ashleigh Watkins and her fiancee Andrew Armand of Flagstaff, AZ; and multiple nieces and nephews.
