St. Augustine, FL / Albion, NY; Eleanor M Thompson, age 92, passed away on October 31, 2025.
She was born on October 20, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Albert and Marie (Koestner) Steier.
Eleanor was a former teen beauty queen who was dedicated to her family and enjoyed crafting,
playing games, cooking, and baking - especially apple pies with real apples from New York!
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings Raymond (Shirley) Steier, John
(Gail) Steier, Lorraine (Marvin Dawley, Lloyd Freeman), Barbara Hellman, Brother-in-law Richard
Braley, her son Harold J Thompson, grandson Daniel S Ryan, and granddaughter Erica
Pittman.
Eleanor is survived by sisters Irene Braley, Marie (Tom) Rigg, brother-in-law Richard Hellman.
Children - Cindy (Walter) Makowski, Laurie (Reid) Cole, Eileen (Scott) Ryan, and Kris (Julie)
Thompson. Grandchildren- Michael, Tina, Timothy, Virginia, Blake, James, Robert, Pamela,
Lexi, Cassidy, Katilyn, along with 23 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews, along with friends.
