Eleanor Mary (Harris) Williamson, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of October 3, 2025, in Dawsonville, GA, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her brothers Bill and Jim, and her sister Grace.
Eleanor was known for her warmth, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed shopping, and cherished time spent visiting (in person and on the phone) with family, friends, and neighbors. Those who knew her remember her as a friendly and thoughtful person, always ready with a smile or a laugh.
She had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs and cats, and delighted in watching the birds outside her window. Eleanor also enjoyed collecting stuffed animals, and especially loved sweets such as chocolate and pies.
In place of a formal funeral, her family is remembering and celebrating her life privately. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in a private cemetery near Pikesville, KY.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, and our memories of her will be forever cherished. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of North Georgia Assisted Living and Caritas Hospice for their professional and compassionate care.
