Eleanor R. Willis
Saginaw Township, Michigan
Loving mother and friend, Eleanor R. Willis, passed away at her home on October 5, 2025, at the age of 99, with her son by her side. Eleanor was born on May 14, 1926, in Chapin, Illinois, to the late John and Ruth (Carter) Bobbitt. She was the fifth of six children.
Eleanor was a faithful, caring woman who loved deeply and lived with quiet strength. She had a gentle heart, a quick wit, and a way of making people feel seen and cared for. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and traveling across the United States - especially to tropical places like Costa Rica and St. John. She was also a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. Most of all, Eleanor loved time with her family always looked forward to visits from them as well as her grandcat, Rico.
She married her husband, David Willis, in the 1940s. David was a pilot, and together they shared a love of flying and adventure. He passed away in 1990.
She is survived by her beloved son, Mark and many loving nieces and nephews. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.
