Betty James, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Lake Orion, Michigan. She was born on October 12, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, and graced this world with her presence for nearly 83 years.

Betty dedicated 32 years of her life to her profession as an Administrative Assistant at Great Lake Steel. Her commitment and diligence were evident throughout her distinguished career.

Creative and artistic by nature, Betty found joy in painting, knitting, and basket weaving. She delighted in expressing herself through the arts and treasured the moments spent in the company of fellow creatives. Betty also cherished simple pleasures such as meeting friends for coffee at McDonald's, exploring new destinations, and indulging in shopping trips. Above all, she held her family close to her heart, treasuring every moment spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Phoebe James, her sister, Janet Orcutt, and her brother, Charles "Butch" James. Betty leaves behind her cherished nephews, Tom Orcutt and Chad Orcutt, her brother-in-law, Jerry Orcutt, and numerous cousins who will remember her fondly.

Betty warm spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
