Elena Quime Obituary

Elena came to the United States on Labor Day in 1996 to live with her daughter, Consuelo. It was a lifelong dream to come to America. Elena passionately celebrated Labor Day each year. She spent most of her life caring for her family as a homemaker and later in life she spent seven years working as a mail sorter. Nanay, as she was affectionately known by friends and neighbors, was very outgoing and sociable. She loved dressing up, wearing beautiful jewelry and going dancing. Elena also enjoyed crocheting and playing Bingo. She also kept in touch with many friends in the Philippines through prayer group.
Beloved wife of the late Marino; loving Nanay of Elma Nipes (late Francisco) of The Philippines, Consuelo Uban (late Alex) of Bensalem, Pa and Cristine Mata (Victor) of Canada; cherished Lola Nanay to many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Elena was predeceased by her sons, Neil Thomas Quime (Salvacion), Ferdinand Quime, Hamilton Quime, and Isagani Quime.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 6 PM until 8 PM at T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home 11010 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154 and again on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA, 19021. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Elena will be laid to rest at a later date with her late husband and family in the Philippines.
