Frank Thomas Hand, formerly of Gloucester Lane in Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the age of 83. He has been a resident of Clementon, NJ, for the past 7 years.

Frank was born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, son of the late Anna (nee McGourty) and Frank S. Hand. He attended St. Matthew's Grade School and was proud to be a part of the first graduating class to attend all four years at Father Judge High School. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1964 until 1966. Frank enjoyed a lengthy career working as a fingerprint technician for the City of Philadelphia, Investigation Division.

Frank was an avid collector of HO scale Lionel Trains and various types of clocks.

Beloved husband of nearly 61 years to Gerri (nee Shannon); loving father of the late Frank (Pat), Michael (Leah) and Jennifer (Steve) Powell; and cherished Pop of Brittany, Rachael, Haley, Molly and Steven. He was the doting human dad to his precious collie, Abby. Frank will also be missed by his sister, Patti D'Angelo and his nephew, Brian McAvoy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at Christ the King Church, 3252 Chesterfield Road, Philadelphia, PA, 19114; followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at precisely 1:30 PM.
