Elias E. Dominguez, age 56, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 4, 1969. Elias is survived by his son, Julian Elias Dominguez. He is survived by his mother, Irma G. Perez. His sister, Maxine Morales, brother-in-law, Carlos Morales, and sister Corina Dominguez, nieces and nephews: Dinah Morales, Eunice Flores and spouse, Efrain Flores, Karem Peña and spouse, Oscar Peña, Jeremy Dominguez, Alysha Morales, Lillian Dominguez, Cassandra Dominguez, and Victoria Dominguez. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eunice Dominguez, father, Maximiliano Dominguez, and brother, Arturo Dominguez.

Elias Dominguez was a vibrant soul who truly lived life to the fullest. Known for his warmth and charismatic spirit, he never met a stranger—everyone he encountered felt seen, heard, and welcomed. Generous and kind-hearted, Elias continuously put others before himself, embodying compassion in his actions and love for others.

He had an infectious energy that could put a smile on anyone’s face, often using humor to lift the mood and bring joy in the most unpredictable ways. Elias was quick with a joke and had an incredible memory that brought his fascinating stories to life. He was both knowledgeable and well read. His life was rich with experiences, and he enjoyed sharing them with those he loved.

Elias had a passion for music and rarely missed a chance to dance. A proud New Orleans native, he was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and carried that team spirit with him wherever he went. A true free spirit, Elias embraced life with spontaneity and heart, never afraid to go his own way.

Family meant everything to Elias. One of the many ways he expressed his love was through cooking—feeding not only his family but also neighbors, friends, and strangers alike. For Elias, food was a love language, a way of bringing people together and giving back.

Elias was a talented carpenter and painter who dedicated himself to his craft from a young age. Through his work, he left a lasting mark, both in the spaces he transformed and in the hearts of those who knew him. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Estevan Reyes for embracing Elias like a brother. Our family will forever be grateful to you.

Despite life’s hardships, Elias never lost faith or sight of who he was. He leaned on God for strength through his struggles and was always grateful for the blessings in his life. Without a doubt, he left a mark on everyone he encountered and will be remembered for his joy, generosity, charisma, and the love he poured into everyone around him. We are grateful to God for the time he gave us to share with Elias. He is now reunited with his brother, Arturo, in heaven and God will certainly have his hands full with the two of them. May Elias finally rest in peace.
