It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elias Reid Highfill, a beloved son, brother, and cherished member of the Highfill family. Born on July 19, 2021, in Springfield, MO, Elias brought immense joy and love to all who knew him. Tragically, he departed from this world on June 18, 2024, leaving a void that can never be filled.
Elias will be dearly missed by his loving parents, Austin Highfill and Miranda Highfill, and his siblings Donnie Charlton, Ariel Killingsworth, Oliver Highfill, and Winry Highfill. His presence brought a light to their lives that will never dim. Elias's hobbies included coloring on the walls, playing with his toys, and playing hide and seek with his siblings. His family and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him would describe him as silly and outgoing. Even when Elias was angry or sad, he never let it last long or infringe on his love for others. He was always quick to apologize or to forgive. He always wanted to be like Spiderman, his favorite superhero. In the end, he would become an actual superhero. Elias was an organ donor and through his donations saved the lives of five other people.
Our son's life was cut short, but the impression he left on the lives of others will never be forgotten. His impact and legacy will remain forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of his family and the memories he leaves behind. Elias, we will never forget you and we'll always love you. We hope to be reunited with you again one day. Love, Mom, Dad, Donnie, Ariel, Oliver, and Winry.
In honor of Elias's memory, a Funeral Service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East on June 29, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place on June 28, 2024, at 6:00 pm, also at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
