Eliazar C. "Elly" Gonzalez, 61, a lifetime resident of Rios, Texas entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 8, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1964 in San Diego, Texas to his parents, Amando and Irma Gonzalez. Elly was a loving father, husband, uncle and brother, brother-in-law, cousin and friend. He had a passion for helping everyone. He considered every friend he made through his life as family. He started his career as a car salesman with Easy Credit Auto Sales owned by the Yates family, When the company transitioned into Bowden Ford Lincoln Mercury, the owner and manager of the A1 Used Car lot, Curt Bowden, hired him to continue and start with Bowden Ford, where his hard work, dedication and determination allowed him to prosper and become one of the Best Salesman around. During this time, the Bowden family owned the dealership, he grew a close relationship with Mr. Lamar and Mrs. Carol Bowden, they took care of each other like family. He also enjoyed the time he worked for Hacienda, Mr. and Mrs. Yoder. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Watching the Dallas Cowboys, Dancing and listening to his favorite music while drinking a few cold ones. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Albesa "Bessie" of 30 years along with their two children. He was very proud of his daughter for all her nursing accomplishments throughout high school. He was very proud of the boy he raised into a man, he was proud of the father, husband Elly Jr. became. He loved his grandkids, especially when he got the chance to take Elly III to school.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amando R. and Irma C. Gonzalez; his sister, Sylvia C. Gonzalez; Celina R. "Sally" Gonzalez.

Elly is survived by his wife, Albesa "Bessie" Gonzalez of Rios, Texas; his son, Eliazar (Abigal) Gonzalez Jr., his daughter, Darissa "Dari" Gonzalez; his two grandchildren, Eliazar Gonzalez III and Elianna Gonzalez; his niece, Bianca Ramirez, Ashley N. Garza and nephew, Eric (Sarah) Gonzales, Jacob L. (Kimblery) Gonzalez; great nephew, Brayden Gonzalez, Joauquin Gonzalez; great niece, Khaledi Gonzalez; sister-in-law, Sonia Gonzalez; brother, in law, Luis A. Gonzalez; along with numerous cousins and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Interment will follow at Victor Gonzalez Cemetery in Rios, Texas.
