Elizabeth "Betty" Campbell Obituary
Elizabeth Mae Campbell “Betty”, 81, of Petersburg, VA passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Berkeley Springs Medical Center, Berkeley Springs, WV. Born on July 7, 1944, in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. Gouyer and Madeline (Tankersley) Gouyer.
She was Catholic by faith, a loving mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Gouyer, Jr.; one sister, Donna Kay Smith; and daughter, Dawn Campbell Powers.
Elizabeth is survived by her beloved grandson, Chase D. Powers and some nieces and nephews.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025, a St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. Interment will take place privately. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, https://www.wesharegiving.org/app/giving/WeShare-2985?tab=home
