Elizabeth “Betty” Duermit passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Elmer Honerlaw and Rita Vogelsang on February 3rd, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Teri Larkin (Byron), and her grandchildren Tia, Sheri (Tip), Cole, Cami (Alex), and Niki (Alex), along with eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She leaves behind her beloved brother, Jerry Honerlaw, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Nick Honerlaw, and her loving husband of 65 years, Mick, along with their precious daughters, Sue and Connie.

Betty attended Villa Madonna Academy in Northern Kentucky, where she made many lifelong friends. She was a strong student, an athlete, and someone others were naturally drawn to.

For 30 years, Betty and Mick owned and operated Town & Country Dry Cleaners, where they spent every day working side-by-side. Their business wasn’t just a place people visited - it was a community hub where friendships grew and stories were shared.

Betty adored all her grandchildren, and they were a big and joyful part of her life. She loved nature, enjoyed being outdoors, and cherished the simple, everyday moments she shared with her husband, Mick.

A visitation to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15th at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Church, located at 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Road in West Chester Township. A mass will follow at 11:00 AM, where friends and family will come together in gratitude for her life. A reception will follow after mass in the Pavilion, where food will be served and memories will be shared.

Betty loved her family deeply and believed in doing small acts of kindness whenever she could. Every year on her birthday, she encouraged her family to do something thoughtful for someone else. Her 86th birthday would have been celebrated on February 3rd - and one of the greatest ways to honor her is to carry on that tradition by doing an act of kindness in her memory. She would love that.
