Klus, Nancy L. (nee Fedders) was born in Ft. Mitchell, KY, the daughter of the late William J Fedders, Jr. and Esther L. Fedders (nee Rice). After a long and courageous battle with heart disease, Nancy passed to Eternal Life on April 25, leaving a legacy of kindness, love and humor.

The loving wife of Richard P. Klus, Nan is the mother of Richard A. Klus (Carrie), Daniel W. Klus (Lisa), J. Patrick Klus (Katie), and Matthew M. Klus (Katherine), and the grandmother of Jacob, Marcy, Jessica, Nicholas, Adam, Andrew, Elizabeth, Leah, Anna, and Samuel Klus. Nan is the loving sister of William J. Fedders III, Lauren Hill (Kathy), and the late Michael J. Fedders (former spouse Kathleen). Nan was a dedicated “cheerleader and supporter” of her husband, children, grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Nancy was a 1961 graduate of Villa Madonna Academy and attended Villa Madonna College. She taught at three elementary schools in Northern Kentucky (St. Henry, St. Joseph Crescent Springs, and St. Pius X) before focusing on being a homemaker and devoted mother to her and Richard’s four sons. She was a dedicated volunteer at the schools her sons attended and the activities in which they participated.

Nan was also committed to the mission of St. Xavier High School (where her sons attended), assisting her husband for over 50 years in his vocation as an educator and development director. She was a member of the St. Xavier Mother’s Club and, later, a long-time member of the St. X Women’s Club, including a year as its president.

For many years, Nan was a volunteer Eucharistic Minister at Good Samaritan Hospital and at St. Vivian Church in Finneytown. She also took Communion to the homebound. Nan also directed her energies toward other philanthropic enterprises, most notably the Paul Lammermeier Foundation (PLF), where she was a volunteer from its inception and a board member for a number of years.

Ministry in the area of death and dying became a graced niche for Nan later in life when she served as a volunteer at Hospice of Cincinnati and as a bereavement committee member at St. Vivian Parish.

Nan loved God deeply, and she cherished life’s simple pleasures, finding her greatest joy in the company of family and friends. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The funeral will take place at St. Xavier High School, 600 W North Bend Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45224 on Saturday, May 17, with a visitation at 10A.M. and a Memorial Mass at 11A.M. A reception will follow Mass. Inurnment will be at 10A.M. on Monday, May 19, at St. Francis Mausoleum, St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Bernard, OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Klus Family Scholarship at St. Xavier High School; the Paul Lammermeier Foundation; Hospice of Cincinnati; or the charity of your choice.
