Elizabeth J. (Zellner) Brown, 1956 – 2025 Marcy, NY - Elizabeth J. Brown, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica. Elizabeth was born on October 2, 1956, the daughter of Gladys Hardy and the late Walter Zellner. She was raised and educated locally, and graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1974, she continued her education at Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC). On April 21, 1979 she married David H. Brown. The couple shared in a union blessed with over forty-six years of marriage. Mrs. Brown began her career with Fay's Drugs, which was acquired by Eckerd's Pharmacy, which later becoming Rite Aid; she retired in 2010 after many years of loyal service. She is survived by her beloved husband, David; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Justin Brown of Marcy, and Tyler and Sarah Brown both of Frankfort; her mother, Gladys Cripe of Marcy; two grandchildren, Gavin Brown, and Nolan Brown; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Darren Fisher; and an aunt, Sharon Friot all of Marcy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws. In keeping with Mrs. Brown's wishes there will be no public services. Arrangements are under the care of Wolanin Funeral Home, 266 Main St., New York Mills, NY.
