Whitesboro, NY – Jane M. (Maziarz) Kopek, passed away after a long illness, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Utica, a daughter of the late Anthonyand Frances Maziarz. She was raised and educated in local schools and graduated from Whitesboro Central High School. On June 9, 1962, at St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro, Jane married William Kopek. The couple shared in a union, blessed with over sixty-three years of marriage.

At one time, Mrs. Kopek held a position with New York Telephone Company and retired from the Whitesboro Central School District, after many years of loyal service.Jane especially enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter and cruising.

She is survived by her husband, William; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Lauren Kopek of Virginia, and Thomas and Elizabeth "Liz" Kopek of Whitesboro; grandchildren, William Kopek III, Amelia Kopek, Jack Kopek, Benjamin Kopek, Samantha Kopek, Kara Kopek, and Rachel Kopek; and a sister, Dolores Kalwara of Whitesboro. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her son, William Kopek, Jr; and two brothers, Steve and Ted Maziarz.

In keeping with Jane's wishes all services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the care of the Wolanin Funeral Home, 266 Main Street, New York Mills, NY.
