Elizabeth A. Bryson "Betty", 81, of Ewing, departed this life peacefully on October 6, 2025, at Capital Health Medical Center at Hopewell, NJ. Born in Trenton on April 18, 1944. Betty was not just a lifelong resident of Ewing; she was a beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Betty was predeceased by her loving parents, David and Elizabeth Jackson and deeply devoted to her late husband, Gerald J. Bryson "Jerry" (Mick) whom she shared a loving bond that served as the foundation of a beautiful family.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine "Chrissy" Bryson; her sons, Dave Bryson and his wife, Anie Winkis, and Jerry Bryson, Jr.; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Kelly and Cole Bryson; and her twin sister, Anne Metzgar.
In recent years, Betty enjoyed life in Ewing alongside her companion, John "Jack" Devlin. Together they frequented her local favorites like Uno's in Hamilton, La La Lobster in Yardley, Wildflowers in Pennington, and Patriots Crossing Tavern in Titusville.
Betty's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She shared most of her life creating cherished memories with her children and grandchildren, filling her grandchildren's weekends with fun adventures, beach trips, and their favorite snacks. She brought an abundance of joy to her family's lives. To those who knew her, she was more than a mother and grandmother; she was a friend and confidante. She was also like a second mother to many of her children's friends.
Betty shared a special bond with her daughter Chrissy, many often mistaked them for siblings as they navigated most of her life side by side. She loved getting her favorite crab cakes and going to the Continental Inn with Dave and Anie. Jerry remembers most all the time spent in LBI, family dinners and the countless hours she spent taking her kids to practice.
She was a lover of flowers and beautiful landscaping and was also dedicated to walking and staying fit for most of her life.
Betty will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and lively spirit - the life of every gathering and adored by all who knew her. Her kindness, energy, and love for family will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
In celebration of her life, a Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Interment will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ
