Elizabeth "Betsy" Davis of Wayne passed away at home on October 8, 2025, surrounded by the loving care of her family.

Born in Passaic and raised in Hawthorne, Betsy was the daughter of Mary and Thomas Bromley. She married Roy Davis on February 17, 1973, and together they settled in Wayne. The following year, they welcomed their daughter, Christy, who became the center of their lives.

Betsy was a longtime member of the Riverview Garden Club, where she held various positions over the years. The club not only nurtured her love of gardening but also brought her many cherished friendships.

A talented photographer, Betsy turned her passion into a profession, spending several years as a school photographer. She also had a deep love of travel. After Roy's retirement, the couple enjoyed frequent trips to South Carolina, Florida, and Williamsburg, and most recently, the scenic beauty of the Northeast.

Betsy is survived by her devoted husband, Roy; her loving daughter, Christy Gold and her husband Stephen; and her cherished grandchildren, Nathan and Finley. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas.

Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, October 10 at Scanlan's:Where Life is Celebrated, Pompton Plains. A graveside service will be held 10:30 am on Saturday at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Betsy's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
