Elizabeth Ann Freehling

On Saturday, November 16, 2024, Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Krah Freehling age 90, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends who loved her. Beloved wife of 49 years to the late Alvin W. (Red) Freehling, and Beloved Mother of Janet (Phil) DiEgidio, Karen (Alan) Jedrzejewski, and Mary Freehling, Loving Grandmother of Julia DiEgidio, Celene (Bob) Skoff, Casey and Wesley Jedrzejewski, and Great Grandmother of Robert (Rip) Skoff. She was also the Loving Aunt of Amee, Bernie and Megan Vorndran, and Sister-in-law of Michele Vorndran. She was preceded in death by her sister Delores (Dolly) Krah, and Brother Bernard J. Vorndran. Betty was born in Pittsburgh, PA and attended Saint Leo Elementary School. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and as a member of the Teutonia Mannerchor German Club. In addition to her family and friends, Betty loved two things; children and performing. As the woman behind the Blue Cross CARING CUB, she encouraged families with her warm smile, caring hugs and lively personality until she retired. In 2021 she moved from Pittsburgh to Sun City, AZ with her daughter, Mary. This had always been a lifetime dream of hers to have her time in the sun.
