Elizabeth Ann "Lizzie" Gleaton Hamilton, age 72, of Hutto, passed away on October 26, 2025. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 29, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral services for Lizzie will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 30, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Cavitt officiating. Interment will follow the service at Greenleaf Cemetery.
Lizzie was born on October 7, 1953 in Brownwood to Jo Etta Ruth and Ray Aubrey Gleaton. She was a 1972 graduate of Brownwood High School. Lizzie married the love of her life, Gregory "Chuck" Hamilton on June 7, 1972. She loved spending time with her husband, daughters, and her 3 grandchildren. Lizzies favorite time of the year was from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
Lizzie is survived by her husband Gregory "Chuck" Hamilton; daughters, Joetta Newton and husband Jason, and Shellie Hamilton Armstrong and husband Todd; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Newton, Jacquelyne Armstrong and Jacob Newton; 2 sisters, Caroline Gleaton, and Sandra Wall and husband Joseph; sister-in-law, Norlene Gleaton; 2 brothers, Sam Gleaton and wife Jan, and Jerry Don Gleaton; sister-in-law, Rebecca Atkins; brother in law, Roger Hamilton and wife Mai; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Aubrey Gleaton and Jo Etta Ruth Gleaton; brother, Dennis Gleaton; nephew, Bryan Smith; brother-in-law, Jackie Sanders; and sister-in-law Schurla Sanders; father-in-law, Eldron Hamilton; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth "Bessie" Tackett Hamilton.
