Elizabeth Elaine Hosford a resident of Columbia Tenn passed away peacefully at Maury Regional Hospital in the early morning hours on December 2nd 2025 at the age of 73. She was born in Waco, Texas in March of 1953 to parents Howard E. and Billie Ruth Lumpkin; she was one of seven children.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Elaine devoted her life to caring not only for her family, but so many others. For many years she and her husband Jackie Hosford were foster parents in Maury County. They opened their homes and hearts to anyone in need. Elaine was a very talented seamstress and excellent cook. She enjoyed playing pool, dancing, and arts and crafts. Elaine was a woman with many talents, she will be best remembered for her gift of always being a good friend with a loving heart and witty humor.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of thirty years Jackie Ray Hosford of Columbia Tenn, daughters Gayla (James) Warlick of Chapel Hill ,Tenn. daughter Michelle (Micah) Cox of Wilmington, NC and Latricia (Billy) Gann of Waco, Texas, along with her grandchildren James Grant of Greensboro NC, Dylan Mashburn of Mt Pleasant Tenn, Lucas Mashburn of Murfreesboro Ten, Carson Cox of Wilmington NC, Kaitlyn Heath of Columbia Tenn., Billy Tyler Gann, Baily Reed, Braden Gann, Brianna Gann & Bryna Gann of Waco Texas, and great grandchildren Wesley, Madison and Paisley Murray of Greensboro NC and Bella and Winter Mashburn of Mt Pleasant Tenn. Brother Gary (Sharla) Lumpkin of Bridge City Texas and sister Janet (Joe) Ramirez of Crystal Beach Texas along with numerous nephews and nieces are left behind to cherish her memory.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 8th at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Rick Points officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 10am until the service hour at the funeral home.
