Elizabeth Marie Jackson, age 69, has reunited with her partner of fifty years, and husband of thirty-five years, Luther Carl Jackson.
Elizabeth was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1955. She was the oldest daughter of Alice and Philip Emile, also of Indianapolis (d.2009 and 2020). A graduate of Gettysburg College, and holder of a master's degree in counseling, she excelled in legacy computer languages and data management. Elizabeth worked in data support for companies such as Warner-Lambert and Unisys, then others more recently.
The second of five siblings, Philip, Elizabeth, Julius, Darrell and Faith, she is survived by her oldest and youngest brothers.
Having taken a summer job with the Good Humor Ice Cream company in 1975, Elizabeth met Carl Jackson as her trainer. They dated fifteen years. In June of 1989, they married. Carl passed by her side on January 1, 2025.
Elizabeth transitioned peacefully only a few months following her husband's passing, on July 29, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, her brother requests donations be made to local charities supporting women's causes.
