Elizabeth A. Laneve of Newell passed at The Orchards of East Liverpool on Thursday, September 29, 2022, following a two-month illness.
Elizabeth was born in East Liverpool on October 8, 1950, to the late Anthony F. and Nancy Musuraca Laneve. She was 71 years old.
Elizabeth retired from the Hancock County Sheltered Workshop in Weirton and earlier had been a delivery person for the Weirton Times Newspaper. She had been very active in The Special Olympics and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester.
Survivors include her sisters, her twin Catherine B. Laneve of East Liverpool, Eleanor (Alfred) Ames of Luray, VA., and Nancy (Steve) Barlow of East Liverpool, her brothers, Carmen J. Laneve of East Liverpool, and Anthony (Tony) Laneve of Newell, her nephews and niece, Mark (Katarina) Barlow, Joe (Allison) Laneve, and Emily (Matt) Onufrak, and great-nephews and nieces, Iliana Barlow, Luke, Jacob, and Christopher Onufrak, Leo and Christine Jayne Laneve. Also, the family would like to acknowledge her special friends, Mindy, AJ., Suzy, and Chris.
Father Bill Matheny will preside for Catholic Funeral Liturgy at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, October 3, at 12:15 pm. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Monday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Her family would like to thank all the compassionate caregivers that have been involved in Elizabeth's life over the years, which have made it so special. Contributions may be made in her name to either the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or The Special Olympics.
