Elizabeth Ann Oldenburg was born on September 28th, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas to John and Ann Cavazos. She went to be with the lord on March 9th, 2025, joining her loving husband of 30 years, Paul J. Oldenburg, her brother George Cavazos, and nephew, Daniel Guerrero. She is survived by her sister, Irene Cavazos, her nephew, Javier Arguello, and grand-nephews Christopher and Everest Guerrero.
Betty worked as a caregiver for several people, and was a loving wife, sister, and aunt. She was an amazing cook and always prepared delicious food for her family and friends. She made contributions to the Humane Society, Alley Cat Allies, and Saint Jude. She also made a point to care for the homeless cats around her neighborhood. Betty was a devout catholic and attended church regularly. She was the kind of person that greeted neighbors and loved to get to know people. She always took care of her garden, making sure it was immaculate for as long as she could. Her home as well as her appearance were always pleasant and never lacked attention to detail. There was a manner with which she made every relationship she had special and showed tremendous love for those around her.
Services will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, with the rosary beginning at 11:30 A.M. and chapel service at 12 P.M. followed by a procession to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
