Elizabeth Roth "Betty Ann" Powers

Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Roth Powers, 94 years old, passed away peacefully at home in Ocala Florida on August 12, 2025. Betty Ann was born in Lake Wales, Florida to her loving parents William and Cora Lee Roth on September 30, 1930. She attended Lake Wales High School and graduated in 1948. She went on to study at the University of Florida receiving a bachelors in Elementary Education in the first women's graduating class in the history of the school. She was an elementary school teacher in Marion county for 29 years. She was heavily involved in the church, she loved to play Bridge and collect antiques. She loved Mountain Findings Thrift Store in Highlands North Carolina, a thrift store that donates profits back into the charities in the town. She loved her family with her whole heart. Betty Ann is survived by her children, Steve (Robin) Powers, Cissy (Don) McMillen, Lisa (Mike) Muldoon, Karl (Willow) Powers. Her brother Bill Roth. Thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Powers Jr. and her parents William and Cora Lee Roth. Services will be held at the Maricamp Road Church of Christ on Saturday August 16th at 10 am for visitation with the family and an 11 am service. Donations can be made in Betty Ann's name to the Maricamp Road Church of Christ. Gratitude from the family goes out to Hospice of Marion County.
