Elizabeth Irene Vaughn, 82, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. Born on March 27, 1943, in Mountain View, Missouri, she was the daughter of Cecil and Telsa (Ferguson) Crouch.

Elizabeth was a woman of many talents and had a heart full of love. She worked as a lab technician at McDonnell Douglas specializing in microchips that included the tomahawk missile.-a job she took great pride in. At home, she was known for her skill in crafts, her love of reading (especially westerns), and her enjoyment of coloring.

Above all, Elizabeth loved her family deeply. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored and doted on. She was the kind of grandmother who lit up whenever they entered the room and never passed up a chance to babysit. Elizabeth also enjoyed spending time on the water-just don't ask her to get her feet wet. Her sense of humor, quiet strength, and fierce love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Vaughn; daughters Cyndi Sherrow and Stephanie Sheets; stepsons Kevin Vaughn and Dave Vaughn; sister Evelyn; brothers David and Terry; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Sheets, daughter, Deborah Tubbesing; grandson Cody Tubbesing, sisters Alice, Patty, and Linda; and brothers Jack, Harvey, Jim, and Billy.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Nilson-Millard Cremation & Burial Center in Columbia, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a cancer charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nilson-Millard Cremation & Burial Center, 5611 E. St. Charles Rd.; Columbia, MO 65202. (573) 474-8443. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.millardfamilychapels.com
