Sheri Louise Shelley (née Britt), 60, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025.

Born on March 27, 1965, Sheri was the daughter of the late Newton Britt Jr. and Carol Lou Britt (Wallace), who survives her. She was a proud graduate of Hickman High School and attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.

On August 30, 1986, Sheri married the love of her life, Dr. Robert Shelley. Together, they shared nearly 39 years of devoted partnership built on faith, love, and mutual respect.

A lifelong and faithful Baptist, Sheri lived each day with steadfast commitment to Christ. Her deep faith shaped the way she loved others, with patience, grace, and a heart full of compassion. She had a quiet strength and a gentle presence that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Shelley; her mother, Carol Lou Britt of Columbia; her sister, Susan Looney of Arkansas; her brother, Douglas Britt of Columbia, Missouri; and her beloved nieces: Makayla Looney, Jordan Looney-McCullough, and Kendra Looney.

Sheri was preceded in death by her father, Newton Britt Jr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Nilson-Millard Cremation & Burial Center, 5611 E St. Charles Rd., Columbia, Missouri. Funeral service will take place the next day on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at Memorial Baptist Church, 1634 Paris Rd., Columbia, Missouri. Interment will be held at Richland Baptist Cemetery in Kingdom City, Missouri.
