Ella Bohanan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowser Family Funeral Home - Mena on Jan. 31, 2026.
Ella Faye Bohanan, age 71, of Bethel, Oklahoma, died Friday, January 30, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sunday, April 4, 1954, to Arvie Chester and Faye Annie Fox Taylor in Cooper, Texas.

Ella was a Christian of the Presbyterian faith whose life was rooted in love, faith, and family. She cherished time spent with those she loved most and found special joy in spoiling her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.

Ella enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life sweet, browsing yard sales, sharing picnics by the creek with her family, and making memories outdoors. She was also a loyal sports fan, enjoying OU football and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. In quieter moments, she loved listening to classic music from the 1960s and 1970s, songs that brought back fond memories and comfort.

Ella will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of family, and the joy she found in life's simple moments. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ella is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Haskell Bohanan; one son, Dana Bohanan; one daughter, Angela Noah; one son-in-law, Billy Noah; two daughters-in-law, Beatrice Bohanan and Rayleen Bohanan; three brothers Jimmy Taylor, Clifford Taylor and George Taylor; and three sisters, Mary Lou Stubblefield, Vickie Taylor, and Caroline Taylor; and four grandchildren.

Ella is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Stevie and Deborah Bohanan of Bethel, Oklahoma, David Bohanan of Houston, Texas, Daniel and Amanda Bohanan of Paris, Texas, Bobby Bohanan of Hamilton, Texas; two daughters and son-in-law, Terrie Parker of Reno, Texas and Sammie and David Arnold of Powderly, Texas; brother, Michael Taylor of Sulphur Springs, Texas; her sisters, Kathy Taylor of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Martha Craft, and Anna May Taylor; twenty two grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kulli Chito Cemetery in Bethel, Oklahoma with Brother Christopher Standridge officiating. No visitation is scheduled. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
