Ella Mae Laase, age 72, of Dalton, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, following a period of declining health.
Ella was born on May 12, 1952, in Millersburg, Ohio, to the late James and Marjorie (Finley) Branson and graduated from Waynedale High School then she went to the Wayne County Career Center for Nursing. She married Kirk S. on February 26, 1984, in Dalton, OH. Kirk died on May 9, 2011.
She worked as a LPN for Shady Lawn Nursing Home for 30 + years, retiring in 2023.
Ella was a member of Living Water Community Church. She enjoyed going on walks which she would take her dog, spending time at the beach and being outdoors, loved to help anyone she could, and most important to her was spending time with the family especially, her grandkids.
Surviving are son, John (Michelle) Clos of Dalton; daughter, Judy (Mike) Holland of Morristown, TN; four grandchildren, Makayla and Lauren Clos, Tyler (Brooke) Holland, Sarah (Brendan) Glass, and Brandon Holland; four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Bennett, Beckham, and Ella Grace; two sisters, Judy (Mark) Wilkie of CO, and Bonnie Branson of TN; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son, Benjamin Wasser; and sister, Cynthia Falb.
Friends may call on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
