Ella Mae Foster Christopher

Mrs. Ella Mae (Foster) Christopher, 90, of the Kirksville Community, passed away on Saturday evening, October 25, 2025, at her daughter's home in Morrisvale, West Virginia.
She was born in Madison County, Kentucky on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1934, the daughter of Raymond Ross Sr., and Loretta Lakes Ross. Mrs. Christopher was a retired nurse from the Pattie A. Clay Hospital where she worked for many years in labor and delivery. She also managed the Robbins Motel with her husband, Bob Foster, for several years. In her free time, Mrs. Christopher enjoyed riding motorcycles, and even took some long trips out west, and to Florida on motorcycle. Line dancing was another pastime she enjoyed and looked forward to attending car races – especially dirt track racing.
Family and friends were very important to her, and she often lovingly referred to them as "honey bunch". Spending time with her children and grandchildren were moments she cherished the most. Mrs. Christopher was a member of the Kirksville Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her son, Bobby Foster (Linda); her daughter, Michelle Reynolds (Charles Thrush); her step-daughter, Kathy Coleman (Terry); one sister, Wilma Witt; 4 grandchildren, Robert Foster (Karen), Stacy Moore (Michael), Christal Chanley (Jason), Tiffany Parker; 2 great-grandchildren, Blake Foster (Mae), and J.T. Chanley; several nieces & nephews, as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Christopher was preceded in death by: her husband and the father of her children, Robert "Bob" Foster; her husband, Lewis Christopher; two daughters, Robin Faye Foster & Sharon Foster; and one brother, Raymond Ross, Jr.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Bro. Butch Pennington & Bro. Jerry Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10:30 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robert Foster, Jason Chanley, Michael Moore, J.T. Chanley, Blake Foster, Chad Dalton and Robert Tussey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Karen Foster, Stacy Moore, Christal Chanley, Tiffany Parker, Rossann Dalton, Mae Foster & Chasity Dalton.
