Ella Richardson Obituary
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ashe County Worship Center, with Pastor Chuck Call officiating. Burial will follow in the Welch Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Ella was born May 22, 1952, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to the late Alvin and Dorothy Honaker West. She was a faithful member of Ashe County Worship Center and dearly loved the Lord. Family was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed doing word searches and had a special love for children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin Lee West, Jr. and Michael Wayne West, and her sisters, Joan Elizabeth West and Mary Lou West.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Richardson; one daughter, Rachel Barker and husband Tim, of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Dianne Cassett, of Galax; one brother, Roscoe West, Sr. and wife Robin, of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Juanita Bledsoe, for her loving care.
