Ellen (Dillman) Blesch, 83, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Parkview Care Center surrounded by her family.
Ellen was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 7, 1941 to the late Leo and Celine (Gansman) Dillman. She worked as a bagger at Wesselman's, a bartender at weddings, and as an aid in the school system. Ellen also worked alongside her husband, Bob at Blesch Disposal. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish Vanderburgh County. Ellen was also a member of the River Bend Association Women's Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Mayberry (Donald); sisters, Judy Brunson, Paula Rose Kercher and Dottie Johnson; grandson, Christopher Mayberry; and special friend, Dave Schroeder.
Ellen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Blesch; her parents; and sisters, Mary Jane Oliver, Joan Brown and Margie Walter.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday August 12, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until service time on Monday August 12, 2024 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Parish Vanderburgh County, 6202 W. St. Joseph Rd., Evansville, IN 47720.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Deaconess Cardiac and Renal Care Unit, the staff at Parkview Care Center, the Holly Unit and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care.

Ellie and I would sometimes sit together at the River Bend Ladies' meetings. She was a lovely lady who I enjoyed chatting with. I knew her husband, Bob. She would sometimes tell me stories about their antique ambulance that they took to shows. Condolences.
