A beloved friend, mentor, sister, daughter, aunt, and partner, Dr. Ellen Carruth passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the age of 50. Ellen lived on the idyllic Vashon Island near Seattle, WA. She was a brilliant writer, talented musician, and compassionate counselor. Her gentleness, authenticity, and generosity drew so many to her. She didn't just befriend people, she invested in them. She truly saw you, truly cheered for you, truly listened to you, and truly loved you. We will miss her terribly and the light that she brought to so many lives. We love you, Ellen.
In lieu of a public memorial service, the family requests that those who wish to honor Ellen's life consider making a charitable donation to Vashon Youth and Family Services.
