Ellen M. Champlin

Ellen Marie Champlin, 71, of Tomah, died on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
On May 15, 1954, Ellen was born to Benjamin and Erna (McNutt) Mee at Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomah. Ellen was a member of Tomah Senior High School's graduating class of 1972. Shortly after graduation, Ellen was united in marriage to Gene Bloom on October 21, 1972. To this union, three children were born: Erin, Elissa, and Eric. On April 28, 2001, Ellen married Tom Champlin, and together they shared 24 wonderful years of marriage. Ellen cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for teaching them how to drive, cheering them on at all their events, and taking memorable family trips. This past Thanksgiving, Ellen and Tom hosted all the children and grandchildren-a day that will be remembered as especially meaningful. Ellen was known for her constant smile and her boundless positivity and energy. Even throughout her battle with cancer, she remained the one who lifted others' spirits. Her warmth, strength, and joy touched everyone around her, and her legacy of love will continue to shine through her family.
Ellen is survived by her beloved husband, Tom Champlin; children, Erin (Mike) Moseley, Elissa (Jason) Moseley, and Eric (Becky) Bloom; grandchildren, Chase, Tanner, Brett (Lois), Dawson, Triton, Rachel (Alaric), Landen (Livia), Alivia, and McKenna; brothers, Mike (Peggy) Mee and Marlon (Heidi) Mee, 2 sisters; her mother-in-law, Elaine Miller sisters-in-law, Trudi (Steve) Brohmer and Linda (Ben) DeGross; brother-in-law, Bruce Miller;. Ellen is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.
Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Erna Mee; brother, Randy Mee; and brothers-in- law, John Champlin and Bill Miller, and stepson Jeremy Birkeness.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday January 9, 2025, from 1:00 P.M until 6:00 P.M. at
