Passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the age of 79. Elliott was born on July 12, 1945 in Elmira, NY, son to the late Elliott R. Blauvelt Sr. and Dorothy Ann Mosel Blauvelt. He was also pre-deceased by his sister Gayle Ramirez in 2004.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Michelle Kozuboski Blauvelt; sister, Nancy (Bob) Stanley of Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-law, Guillermo Ramirez of Medellin, Colombia; nephews, William (Jaqueline) Ramirez, Eduardo (Luisa) Ramirez, Ricardo (Ana) Ramirez and Matthew Stanley; niece, Melissa (Jordan) Harris and many extended family members and friends.
Elliott served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was a life long resident of Horseheads, New York and a very active and dedicated member of his community. His many contributions include: former Master of the Horseheads Old Oak Lodge and General Sullivan Lodge, former Assistant Grand Lecturer of CST Masonic District, former President of the Horseheads Rotary, member of the Valley of Rochester Consistory and a member of the Board of Directors for the Horseheads Historical Society. Elliott was a recipient of the Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, longtime member of the Horseheads Order of the Eastern Star, an emergency coordinator for Chemung County Amateur Radio Emergency Services and ham radio operator (call sign N2OJM) and he was recently honored for working 50 years in the real estate business.
The legacy Elliott left on his community will never be forgotten, not to mention being an incredibly kind and down to earth person who loved his community and the people that live there.
The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Monday, June 9, 2025 with calling hours from 11-1pm. A Masonic Service will be held at 12:45 PM with a Memorial Service to follow with Pastor Aaron Frank. He will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery immediately following with full Military Honors. A luncheon will be held at the Horseheads Masonic Lodge #95, 607 South Main St, Horseheads, New York immediately following the Graveside Service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Horseheads Masonic Lodge #95 in Elliott's memory.

Elliott was one of the warmest, most decent people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing -- the kind,you expect to be around forever and run into every now and then. The fact that he isn't, and I won't, is deeply saddening. My sincerest sympathy to his family and many, many friends.
